"We believe in an alternative, independent politics and active, responsible government. We believe in empowering citizens and communities. We offer hope and a call to action. Go Green!"

- The Lake Winnebago Green Party (LWGP) represents the counties of Winnebago, Waushara, Outagamie, Green Lake, and Fond du Lac, in Wisconsin. Contact lwgp@wisconsingreenparty.org to get involved.

County Board Size - the LWGP unequivocably opposes reducing the size of the the Winnebago Co. Board and all County Board sizes in our area. Smaller county boards reduce the level of direct democracy in our communities, and increases the likelyhood that Big Money can buy our Board.

Diebold TSx Touch Screen Machines - the LWGP opposes the implementation of the Diebold TSx Touch Screen voting machines in Winnebago County, which was recently approved by the municipal clerks and the Winnebago Co. Board.

We have spoken up at every Board meeting regarding these machines, and have demonstrated in front of the court house. We believe that these specific machines threaten our elective process in Winnebago Co. due to their proven security weaknesses as reported in the media, by election experts, and by their track record in elections this year.

We urge citizens to avoid using these machines if at all possible this September and November to ensure casting a ballot that can be counted and recounted.

Wisconsin Green Party Candidates on the ballot across the state!

Voters across the state of Wisconsin will be able to vote for Greens in the Primary on September 12, and in the general election on November 7. Pictured above clockwise from the upper left are: Winston Sephus, Jr. (State Treasurer), Mike LaForest (Sec. State), Leon Todd (Lt. Governor), Nelson Eisman (Governor), Rae Vogeler (front w/ sign, US Senate), and Rae Vogeler's son Carlos.

The LWGP is proud to support this slate of candidates, as well as the other five candidates running in local races outside of our area. Rae Vogeler, Winston Sephus, Jr. and Mike LaForest have already visited our area, and all state wide candidates will be visiting the Lake Winnebago area again in the next three months.
